I was hoping between last Tuesday and this one some brilliance might strike me and I'd decide on a theme or niche or something for this blog. But for now I'll just write something.
I've been making time to play with my craft supplies a bit. Last week I did some embroidery which came out quite well. I had gotten this shirt from when the Undocubus stayed in town for a week. I really liked it but being a white shirt in my possession it was certainly doomed. I've dressed in dark colors since I was small so I suppose I just never learned to properly eat or drink without spilling it on myself. I hadn't done embroidery in many years but somehow it came out quite well. I have a plethora of handkerchiefs I've collected so I may start embellishing those a bit. It's pretty easy and very portable. I like portable crafts a lot. I get jealous of people in meetings who are knitting or crocheting. They don't have to sit there and be completely bored and unproductive like the rest of us. I just don't have the patience for those two needlecrafts. But embroidery only requires a few materials so I suppose I'll be creating myself a wee embroidery kit to tote around.
Also did some baking for my youth group fundraiser which raised 155$. Not too shabby. I made two pans of chess bars which are always immensely popular. Especially at home. I think at least two meals on Saturday for both my son and I consisted primarily of chess bars.
Sunday was pleasant as most Sundays are and the afternoon was spent sorting my grandmothers clothes for donation. I did find the local YMCA will take them for their women's shelter which I prefer over KARM or Goodwill. I must get her things out of her apartment by Halloween which means my October shall be quite busy between that and the Halloween Party fundraiser for my youth group. Got to start working on the sugar skulls we sell. That's always a good time. Here is one I decorated last year that I rather liked.
Goodness, I got distracted and didn't finish it up. Oh well, I'm going to hit publish and get it out there at least. I started this a week ago so everything is a bit dated. Life kinda got in the way.
I love this. How creative!! Wonderful blog you have :)
